Helensburgh and Gareloch Horticultural Society held its 167th Annual Flower & Vegetable Show recently when the Victoria Halls were packed with a splendid display of of flowers, fruit and vegetables in spite of the less than ideal growing conditions experienced this summer.

The Industrial Section was well represented with a good display of preserves, baking , handcrafts, and photography. Local bee keepers competed against each other with their honey and honeycombs and there were interesting and well executed entries made and grown by children.
